School Guidelines for Covid-19

Mapleton Local School District is following the CDC recommendations for isolation and quarantine. We encourage families to maintain healthy habits and stay home if symptoms develop.

If a student tests positive for Covid-19, CDC recommends they remain home for 5 days from first symptoms. All students must be fever, diarrhea, and/or vomiting free for 24hrs without the assistance of medications to return to school.

If a student is exposed, CDC recommendations are to wear a high-quality mask for 10 days and test after 5 days.

The school is not monitoring exposures or requiring quarantines. We do appreciate being alerted when a student tests positive for any communicable disease so we are able to limit exposure and provide a healthy environment.
